Born in Rio de Janeiro and graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (2010), Natália practiced maritime law in Rio de Janeiro at Law Offices Carl Kincaid (Top Ranked by Chambers and Partners) from 2010 to 2011 and administrative law at Chediak Advogados from 2011 to 2012. 
She has a master's degree in Administrative Law from the University of Coimbra (2013) and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Public Law.   
Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra since 2014, she also offers post-graduate and bespoke short courses in Portugal, Brazil and Mozambique. 
From 08/01/2018 to 09/02/2018 was a visiting research scholar at the College of Social Sciences and International Studies and Centre for European Governance of the University of Exeter under the supervision of Professor Claudio Radaelli.   
She is the author of  'Smart Grids. Models for Infrastructure Regulation' (2015) and several academic articles and book chapters.
