Cristian embarked on his academic journey at the University of Coimbra, where he pursued his PhD from 2017 to 2023. During this time, he served as an FCT Research Fellow (SFRH/BD/138151/2018) within the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology.
As a member of the Steel and Mixed Construction Technologies (SMCT) research group at the Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering (ISISE)., Cristian successfully earned his doctoral degree in "Steel and Composite Construction." His research focuses on steel and steel-concrete composite structures, macro-modeling of joint behavior, programming, and finite element analysis.
