2012- 2014       Pós-Doutoramento no Departamento de Patologia Morfológica e Parasitologia da Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária da Universidade de Veterinária e Ciências Farmacêuticas, Brno, República Checa, onde ajudou a establecer o laboratório europeu de referência: HPI-Lab- (Laboratório para o estudo de doenças infecciosas comuns a primatas humanos e não-humanos).

 

2008- 2013  Doutoramento em Antropologia na Especialidade de Antropologia Biológica e Etnoecologia pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Foi-lhe atribuído o Título de Doctor Europaeus por preencher os requisitos de excelência e cooperação científica no seio da UE.

Tese: Phylogeography, Conservation Genetics and Parasitology of chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes verus) in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa.

 

2011- 2012          Mestrado em Evolução e Biologia Humana, no Departamento                de Ciências da Vida da Universidade de Coimbra.
