Short bio
Clara Almeida Santos (Ph.D, University of Coimbra) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy, Communication and Information at the Faculty of Arts, University of Coimbra (UC). She was Vice-Rector of the UC between 2011 and 2018 with the areas of Communication, Culture, Heritage and Alumni. She founded and directed UCV - Web Television of the University of Coimbra. She worked as a journalist the Lisbon News Channel and at SIC Television. She has participated in European projects related to gender equality and diversity and the media. Her main academic interests are digital media, communication and networks, image and communication, media representations and storytelling.
