Biographical Note [up to 200 words]
Born in 1965. He has been a father since 1995.
He holds a Degree in History (1987), Professionalized in History Teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education (1989), Master in Contemporary History of Portugal (1993) and Doctor in Contemporary History from the University of Coimbra (2006).
He is also a Graduate in Holocaust History and Memory from the Yad Vashem International School of Holocaust Studies (Jerusalem, Israel) (2011); Foreign Associate Professor at the Postgraduate Program in History at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (Porto Alegre, Brazil) (PPGH at PUC-RS).
He is the Director of the 3rd Cycle Course in Cultural Heritage and Museology at FLUC and the Director of the 2nd Cycle Course in Cultural Heritage and Museology at FLUC; the Coordinator of the Network Memories, Identities and Cultural Heritage (RMIPC); Vice-Coordinator of the Network for the Study of Fascism, Authoritarianism, Totalitarianism and Transitions to Democracy (REFAT); member of the Advisory Board of the Association of History Teachers (APH).
He co-coordinates the “Contemporary History” Collection (CEIS20/UC and IUC). He is a member of the editorial boards of the Revista Portuguesa de História and of Estudos do Século XX.
