Biographical Note [up to 200 words]
Born in 1965.
He holds a Degree in History (1987), Professionalized in History Teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education (1989), Master in Contemporary History of Portugal (1993) and Doctor in Contemporary History from the University of Coimbra (2006).
He is also a Graduate in Holocaust History and Memory from the Yad Vashem International School of Holocaust Studies (Jerusalem, Israel) (2011); Foreign Associate Professor at the Postgraduate Program in History at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (Porto Alegre, Brazil) (PPGH at PUC-RS).
He is the Director of the 3rd Cycle Course in Cultural Heritage and Museology at FLUC and of the 2nd Cycle Course in Cultural Heritage and Museology at FLUC; the Coordinator of the Installation Committee of the Memories, Identities and Cultural Heritage Network (RMIPC); the Deputy Coordinator of the Network for the Study of Fascisms, Authoritarianisms, Totalitarianisms and Transitions to Democracy (REFAT); a member of the Advisory Board of the Association of Teachers of History (APH).
He co-coordinates the “Contemporary History” Collection (CEIS20 / UC and IUC). He is a member of the editorial staff of the Revista Portuguesa de História and Estudos do Século XX.
