I am PhD in Library Science and Documentation from the University of Salamanca (Spain, 2010), Master in Information Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil, 2003), Specialist in Preservation of Works on Paper from the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil, 1999), Graduated in Documentation and Archival Science from the University of Aveiro (Portugal, 2007), and in History from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Cataguases (Brazil, 1992). I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Coimbra (Portugal), where I have been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Science, and where I have been supervising several master dissertations, doctoral theses and extracurricular internships. Currently, I am the Director of the Archive of the University of Coimbra (2019 - ), integrated member of the CEIS20 Research Center (University of Coimbra), and collaborating member of the ARBIDOC Group (University of León, Spain), and the Teresa Andrés Group (University of Salamanca). I have been invited to join several doctoral and master thesis defences tribunals, scientific committees of international and national events and publications in the area of Information Science. In addition, I have published dozens of peer-reviewed works, including book chapters, articles and communications, and I have participated in over a hundred scientific events, both as an assistant and as a presenter and chair of sessions. My mainly research interests are archival theories and methods, archival information organization, knowledge management and qualitative research (with emphasis on software for data collection and analysis).
