Recommended Prerequisites
Students that in the initial English Language assessement demonstrate B2 level or present a valid B2 certificate or equivalent (IELTS 5.5. or higher, for example), will be credited with the 3 ECTS corresponding to the English Language Skills.
Teaching Methods
The teaching method is student-centered, privileging responsibility and freedom of choice, depending on the needs and goals that each individual wants to achieve. The set of proposed activities will be based on practical teaching.Two English language training modules (B1 and B2 levels) will be provided annually to allow progression in English language skills to the required level.
Learning Outcomes
By contributing to the development of Soft Skills, this course contributes to ILO 4 of the Management degree and to ILO 5 of the Economics degree.
At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to:
Develop and implement a set of transversal and technical skills geared towards their future career path, namely in the areas of English language, leadership and teamwork, digital skills, knowledge of the business environment, communication in a professional context, preparation for the recruitment and selection process, emotional intelligence, leadership and teamwork.

Throughout the academic year, activities will be proposed such as:
Lectures with CEOs; Seminars with organisational interlocutors on topics relevant to the management of organisations; Activities that foster the entrepreneurial spirit; Activities that enable the development of digital skills; Activities that enable the development of negotiation and train the ability to argue/discuss; Activities that train leadership and the ability to work in a team.
The development of language skills corresponds to 3 ECTS and will be ensured by the provision of two half-yearly courses: one that allows the development of skills at B1 level (intermediate) and the other at B2 level (Upper-Intermediate). Accreditation of the ECTS corresponding to language skills is dependent on certification of B2 level skills.

The approval obtained through the accumulation of credits resulting from the participation in a set of activities equivalent to the effort load corresponding to 6 ECTS (including 3 ECTS of English Language competences): 100.0%
