Recommended Prerequisites
Training required in Numerical Methods, Statistical Methods, Hydraulics and Hydrology.
Teaching Methods
Lectures on theoretical aspects, presentation and discussion of examples of practical application, resolution of problems, and autonomous development of a small project of water supply and drainage (by students). Tutorial classes for implementation of the project.
Learning Outcomes
The objectives of this curricular unit are to convey essential concepts of Urban Hydraulics, in terms of a sustainable development in its component of the use of Urban Water Cycle. Thus, the main objective will be to provide students with the ability to carry out tasks concerning the elaboration of projects in the field of Basic Sanitation, its assessment, analysis and technical and economical discussion, as well as the ability to explore infrastructures of the different components in the Basic Sanitation Systems.
