Recommended Prerequisites

Mathematical Analysis I, II e III, Numerical Methods, Statistical Methods, Systems Engineering, General Chemistry,  Hydrology and Water Resources, General Hydraulics I and II, Sanitation and Urban and Regional Planning.

Teaching Methods

Lectures on theoretical aspects detailed exposition of the concepts, principles and theories, using visual aids, and resolution of practical problems that help to understand the theoretical presentation.

Theoretical-practical classes in which students, under the guidance of teachers, solve some practical problems.

Tutorial classes for case studies.

Learning Outcomes

To provide students with knowledge of fundamental principles and methodologies of environmental engineering to be considered in the context of future Civil Engineers.

To provide students with an understanding of the phenomena of water, air and noise pollution, the thematic importance of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), their historical evolution and development of the EIA processes and SEA.
