Basic knowledge of chemistry, phyiscs and mathematics from secondary school.
Teaching Methods
Tutorial classes with discussion and resolution, individually or within groups, of problems proposed by the Instructor or by students. Contact with a Tutor individually or in small groups.
Learning Outcomes
To introduce methodologies of learning and acquiring knowledge in university courses; improve skills of communication and problem solving; develop critical thinking in the approaching to chemical problems; facilitate the integration of the student in the university and improve academic success.

Tutorial classes: language and chemistry methods; problem types and models of resolution; critical thinking and creative problem solving; units, dimensions ans scientific measurement; significant figures; density and concentration of solutions; graphical representation; chemical formulas and nomenclature; chemical equations and types of chemical reactions; stoichiometric calculations; gases and solids; electronic structure of atoms and molecules; periodic table; Lewis structures and molecular geometry and shape; colligative properties, thermochemistry, chemical equilibrium, acid-base and solubility equilibria.
Contact with tutors: discussion of general or specific themes of chemistry, bibliographic search, preparation of summaries and delivering presentations.
