Specialization Course in Exercise, Health and Well-being for Special Groups

General Objectives of the Course

The present e-learning specialization course aims to provide expertise training in the specific areas of special needs education and adapted physical activity, making it extensible to all individuals that for geographical or other reasons don´t have the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills in these specific areas. The training recognition offered for post-graduate studies, through the accreditation 30 ECTS credits in future attendance of 2nd cycle course, in particular the Master Course in Exercise, Health and Well-being in Special Groups, provides a strong incentive and highlights the importance of lifelong training for professional progressive theoretical and practical update, promoting the development of new skills and generating new work opportunities.

Admission Requirements

a) Holders of an academic degree or equivalent;
b) Holders of a foreign academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a State acceding to this process;
c) Holders of a foreign degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of a degree by the Scientific Committee of the higher education institution where they intend to be admitted;
d) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum vitae that is recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this course by the Scientific Committee of the higher education institution where they wish to be admitted.

=Mean M1;M2;M3;M4;M5;M6. The final grade is assigned on a scale of 0-20 with the mean values .

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

• Understand exercise and adapted physical activity as an important tool for prevention and improvement of health and psychological well-being in special groups.
• Implement programs to improve the physical condition of special groups.
• Framing specific training disability sport methodologies according to the specific area of disability
• Develop prescription, organization and intervention skills in the field of adapted physical activity and sport.
