PortugueseRegras de Avaliação
Assessment is an integral pedagogical activity of the teaching process, aimed at evaluating students' acquired knowledge and competencies, their proactivity, critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, as well as their proficiency in written and oral communication.Students enrolled in the respective course units for the academic year in question, and, where required, registered for the assessments according to the University of Coimbra's regulations, are eligible to take the examinations. Assessment components may include written or oral exams, periodic tests, problem-solving exercises, practical (laboratory or computational) or written assignments, as well as individual or group projects, which may require oral defense. The assessment of each course unit may consist of one or more of these components, with students being informed of the weight of each element in the final grade, in accordance with the University of Coimbra's regulations. Each student's grade for a course unit is expressed as an integer between 0 and 20, with a minimum passing grade of 10.
Objetivos da Aprendizagem e Competências a Desenvolver
This bachelor’s degree aims to provide a solid foundation of knowledge in various fundamental areas (see 3.1), with a particularfocus on the design, development, and control of naval and oceanic systems and structures. Students will develop essential skills for
designing structures and functional components applied to ships and offshore platforms. Additionally, they will acquire knowledge
about the operation of machinery, electronic systems, embedded programming, and control. The curriculum will also offer an in-depth
understanding of material behavior and structural design principles in maritime environments, preparing students to address the
specific challenges of the naval and oceanic sectors.
