Teaching Methods

The teaching methodology is based on interactive theoretical-practical classes, with a detailed exposition of the topics, supported by audiovisual media, using practical examples and the discussion/analysis of concrete cases. Practical classes will allow students to carry out work and projects, using mobile devices and the Internet of Things, as well as specific software.

Learning Outcomes

The mobility of users and networks is a feature that is increasingly present in today's communication networks. At the same time, there is a growing trend towards the use of low-cost wireless devices, which make it possible to sensor, monitor and act on their surroundings, as well as control environments and processes more precisely and efficiently.

This course aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge about mobile networks and the Internet of Things. Architectures, protocols, technologies and applications will be covered, giving the student an in-depth knowledge of this subject. A student who successfully completes this course should know and understand the operation of existing communication technologies and protocols in mobile networks and the Internet of Things, and be able to critically assess their suitability for various scenarios, ranging from home networks to industrial environments with high requirements.
