Teaching Methods
Teaching will be a mixture of tutorial guidance by the Advisors, and self-learning by the student, in varying proportions, and with the expectation that the second component will be more prevalent as time passes.
Learning Outcomes
The objective is that the student reaches at the end of this curricular unit the following competences:
- Presentation of the thesis project chosen by the student, in coordination by his/her thesis supervisor
- Being able to defend the principal hypothesis and objectives
- Being able to explain the principal methodologies that will be used during his/her PhD thesis
- Being able to discuss possible risks and mitigation strategies taken into account
In conclusion, the objective is to prepare the students into the next curricular unit, the Thesis work, and to discuss the different possible outcomes and contingency plans with each students' thesis committee, in order to forge independent, critical and competent researchers in the field of Integrative Neuroscience.

The syllabus will be specific to each Thesis, and to a large extent will be defined by the student and Advisors. Depending on the choices made at the level of project in the first year, which will be evaluated and agreed with the thesis committee.
