Recommended Prerequisites

The pre-requisites of this course are those corresponding to the application for the Master course CMM.

Teaching Methods

Lectures (30 hours) with detailed exposition, using visual aids, concepts, principles and theories and to solve some practical exercises that meet all the needs of students with guidelines on the matter. Tutorial lessons (37,5) to answer questions.

Learning Outcomes

The aim of this course is to give students the latest knowledge about glass and timber structures. To describe the basic concepts regarding properties and performance of glass and timber as construction materials as well as their specificities and to develop an awareness of significance of glass and timber as traditional structural materials. To present the design methods for glass and timber structures. To provide examples for both materials.
