Recommended Prerequisites
Practice of music group fitness classes; control of physical execution on the musical structure in group activities / fitness.
Teaching Methods
Teaching sessions of collective nature, tutorial sessions type of personal guidance, projects, field work, self-study. At the end of the semester students will prepare and present a lesson structure, respecting the guidelines provided along the contact sessions.
Learning Outcomes
Development of teaching strategies adapted to fitness classes.
Evaluation, planning and pedagogical intervention considering the level of students' abilities.
Deepening of scientific knowledge related to the teaching of different types of fitness classes.
At the end of the semester the student should be able to prepare a aquafitness class, structuring the movements correctly and safely and respecting the music and/or time structure.
Should be able to adapt the intensity of the class to different types of populations and interact with them (both technically as motivational).

Water workout characteristics (characteristics and water dynamics and their influence on the intensity of the class).
Heart rate theories (differences between work on water and on land).
Speed of Execution. Musical structure vs. Choreographic structure.
Posture and physical execution of basic movements.
Water Properties and Physical Laws.
Choreographic methods.
Movements transitions and progressions.
Instructor profile, types of instruction and deck vs. water teaching.
