Recommended Prerequisites
Students that in the initial English Language assessement demonstrate B2 level or present a valid B2 certificate or equivalent (IELTS 5.5. or higher, for example), will be credited with the 3 ECTS corresponding to the English Language Skills.
Teaching Methods
The teaching method is student-centered, privileging responsibility and freedom of choice, depending on the needs and goals that each individual wants to achieve. The set of proposed activities will be based on practical teaching.Two English language training modules (B1 and B2 levels) will be provided annually to allow progression in English language skills to the required level.
Learning Outcomes
The FEUC-Skills program aims to stimulate the development of student's transversal competences in order to bring students closer to the job market. FEUC-Skills integrates a set of activities that aim to contribute to the acquisition of skills of a technical (with special emphasys in English Language), personal and interpersonal nature, during the training course in the areas of: English language, digital skills, communication in a professional context, preparation for the process of professional insertion, emotional intelligence, leadership and teamwork, etc. Other activities developed individually by the students during their academic career developed within the scope of the UC will also be valued, namely summer internships, participation in sports and cultural activities, volunteering and other activities that prove relevant to the development of skills.

Along the acadenic year a set of activies are proposed such as:
Lectures with CEOs; Seminars “in conversation with a former FEUC student”; Activities that foster the entrepreneurial spirit; Activities that allow the development of digital skills; Activities that allow the development of negotiation and that train the ability to argue/discuss; Activities that train leadership and the ability to work in a team.
The development of english language skills corresponds to 3 ECTS and will be ensured by the provision of two semester courses: one that leads to the development of skills at level B1 (intermediate) and another at level B2 (Upper-Intermediate). Accreditation of ECTS corresponding to language skills is dependent on certification of level B2 skills.

The approval obtained through the accumulation of credits resulting from the participation in a set of activities equivalent to the effort load corresponding to 6 ECTS (including 3 ECTS of English Language competences): 100.0%
