Learning Outcomes

The understanding of biological processes at the molecular level is fundamental to the understanding of the functioning of living organisms.
The development of bio-orthogonal reactions occurring within living systems is an emerging field of scientific research. This chemistry in biological media allows the exploration and manipulation of living organisms with the aim of discovering new therapeutic and diagnostic strategies.

For the part Organic chemistry of biological processes:
1-Reaction mechanisms in biological chemistry
2-Biomolecules
3-Metabolism of lipids
4-Carbohydrate metabolism
5-Amino acid metabolism
6-Nucleotide métabolisme
7-Some examples of biosynthesis of natural products
For the Chemobiology part :
1- Description of the main bioorthogonal reactions.
2- Application of bioorthogonal chemistry to the understanding and manipulation of biological processes.
