Learning Outcomes

The present course will help the student to navigate into the biopsychosocial aspects of aging, pinpointing all the elements associated with gender throughout the life course of individuals (epidemiology of diseases, pathophysiology of conditions, differences in symptomatology and clinical presentations, pharmacological response). In addition, the students will learn how reproductive history modulates several components of health and diseases from intrauterine life to menopause and beyond, in order to capture the key-concept of transgenerational medicine, an essential part of care (prevention and treatment) of healthy individuals across the life span and in aging people.
