ii) Knowledge on lifestyle medicine as an important discipline to sustain healthy ageing by reducing the risk to develop age-related diseases;
iii) Knowledge on appropriate eating habits/ eating behaviours, as well as adequate nutritional status that is recognized as important modifiable factors potentially leading to a healthy "phenotype" during the silver age

Syllabus

This course presents an in-depth analysis of the interaction between lifestyle habits (nutrition, physical activity level, quality of sleep and smoking habit) and health in the ageing process as important modifiable factors to reduce the risk of age-related diseases development.
Particular attention will be paid to the nutritional aspects and healthy dietary patterns that play a fundamental role in the ageing process; eating habits and eating behaviours are recognized as important modifiable factors potentially leading to a healthy "phenotype".
