Mastery of definitions of terms, theories and models in health promotion and disease prevention and their application in exercise/sports therapy, prevention and health promotion practice; mastery of the theories and models of basic research methods in the leading scientific disciplines of performance physiology and sports immunology.

Physiological and immunological theories, models and concepts of action in preventive, therapeutic, rehabilitative and health-promoting contexts with reference to physical activity and inactivity, acute exposure to physical stress and chronic adaptation through long-term periods of training or immobilization; consideration of developmental biology and gerontological perspectives as well as pediatric and geriatric target groups; anthropology and ethics in sports medicine.
