Acquiring knowledge and training students in theoretical and practical terms on the general aspects of the human body at an advanced age.
Knowledge of pathology specific to the elderly;Acquiring the knowledge necessary to carry out physical therapy programs (specific to different types of diseases) in the elderly.

Syllabus

1. Handling of the immobilized patient in bed (turns, lateral movement in bed, lifting from bed / wheelchair and movement, transfer to and from bed, correct positioning of the patient) (4 hours)
2. Walking with crutches and sticks (learning to walk with the help of devices, learning to fall and lifting from falling) (4 hours)
3. Wheelchair travel (moving back and forth with a wheelchair, with or without an assistant. wheelchair turns, climbing and descending curbs / stairs with a wheelchair) (4 hours)
4. Physical therapy in cardiovascular diseases of the seniors. (4 hours)
5. Physical therapy respiratory diseases ot the seniors. (4 hours)
6. The role of physiotherapy in ameliorating spinal disorders (posture deficiencies and degenerative diseases) (4 hours)
7. The role of physical therapy in neurological disorders in the seniors (4 hours)
