Learning Outcomes

The student will:
(i) acquire an updated view of the ageing-related diseases and of the underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms.
(ii) be able to understand the research process and clinical approach that lead to find new therapies, especially in the era of “personalized medicine”
(iii) acquire a critical method that will allow him/her to work in the field of translational medicine.

Syllabus

Ageing-related diseases have a profound impact in terms of public health. The course will: (i) present the spectrum of pathologies related to the ageing process; (ii) explain and investigate the new research process and therapeutic approach in the era of personalized medicine and of target therapy; (iii) will give a critical method when dealing with biotechnologies applied to practical clinics and basic/translational sciences.
