The knowledge acquired during the previous curricular units of the Plastics and Sustainability Master program.
Teaching Methods
Between September and December, students are given a list of topics proposed by teachers in collaboration with companies in the sector by plastics companies. The proposed terms will always have defined a co-supervisor in the company. The work also requires a bibliographic research, reading and study of the bibliography, under the guidance of the supervisor(s).
Learning Outcomes
The Plastics and Sustainability project consists of an application work. It involves writing a thesis, prepared with technical-scientific rigor, which will be evaluated in public exams at the end of the semester. The theme of the project can be the resolution of a specific problem, with the application of one or more methods or techniques. The theme, content and organization of the thesis will be defined under the supervision of the Project supervisor(s). The Project is supervised by at least one PhD professor from the UC and is accompanied by a person in charge at the company where the internship takes place. The theme of the project must be inserted in the thematic area of plastics and sustainability, with theoretical, applied or experimental scope and must allow the development of the following skills: Ability to manage information.
