Elective
2nd Cycle Studies - Mestrado
Recommended Prerequisites
Knowledge in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Analytical Chemistry
Teaching Methods
Exposition of theoretical concepts in parallel with the analysis of several applications. Learning is stimulated through the implementation of laboratory classes for the synthesis and conjugation of nanomaterials using characterization and control techniques, with various applications, including (bio)sensors. Implementation of a monograph work, which allows students to consolidate and investigate in detail the topics taught.
Learning Outcomes
- Acquire knowledge about nanostructured materials and their applications
- Understand the synthesis and processing processes, aligned with green chemistry
- Develop and implement functionalization and bioconjugation strategies
- Understand the operation of (bio)sensor devices
- Develop (bio)sensor devices on renewable substrates
