Teaching Methods
The classes will take place in the classroom. Expositive component, as well as analysis and discussion of texts and materials previously provided, some of which will be presented by the students.
Learning Outcomes
The student must have/should be able to:
1. Acquire knowledge to produce and develop original ideas in the context of linguistic research in and about Europe;
2. Develop problem-solving skills within multidisciplinary contexts related to linguistic visions of Europe;
3. Locate and manage bibliographic and archival sources within the framework of linguistic studies and its corresponding technologies
4. Develop analytical and research methods for the critical interpretation of linguistic processes and corpora
5. Advanced knowledge of the different analysis methods for the interpretation of linguistic and literary texts
6. Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of the different situations of contact between European languages.
7. Theoretical and practical knowledge to incorporate the study of heritage languages and cultures into comparative research on European languages.

Literary sociology, literature mediation, book market and literature business; networks, organizations, actors and campaigns (publishers, agencies, authors, translators, critics, audiences, events, book fairs); direct and indirect ways of exchanging literature; translation flows, genres, culture and knowledge transfer; translation as culture contact; selected examples (e.g. literature exchange in divided Germany, between Scandinavia and the German-speaking countries, historical vs. contemporary perspectives, translator profiles).
