Recommended Prerequisites

Knowledge and basic skills in the scientific areas of Research Methods and Planning and Evaluation Project.     

Teaching Methods

The curricular unit encompasses different teaching and learning methodologies, namely: sessions of brief theoretical exposition, analysis of scientific articles and debate around methodologies and results of research and social intervention projects; tutorial support for the elaboration and presentation of proposals for research and socio-educational intervention projects.

Learning Outcomes

The activities developed to contribute to the consolidation of knowledge and skills, making the master students more capable of conceiving, planning, and evaluating socio-educational intervention projects and conceiving and planning social and educational research activities.

The Seminar Project aims at the following objectives:

- Understand the state of the art of Research and Intervention in Social Education, framed in the epistemology, methodology, and practice of research in Social Sciences;

- Analyze the appropriate methodological options for the construction of intervention and research projects to be developed in the second year of the master's degree;

- Apply the analytical-reflective and operational skills required for the research and socio-educational intervention processes in the elaboration of a thesis or internship project.
