Internship in Social Education, Development and Local Dynamics

Recommended Prerequisites

Curricular Units of the 1st year of the course, specifically that of Scientific Research Methodologies and Project Seminar.

Teaching Methods

This course works on a tutorial basis by the supervisor of each internship, in close collaboration with all the academic staff of the course, through the Internship's Orientation and Monitoring Seminar. The student also have a internship supervisor at the place where the internship happens.

Learning Outcomes

The central objective of the internship is to provide students with the possibility of insertion in a professional context of social education, enabling them to develop transversal skills:

- of a practical-instrumental nature (problem solving and decision making skills; use of professional techniques; contextual analysis and initiative),

- of interpersonal relationship (communication skills, understanding and affirmation of the sense of citizenship and axiological analysis).

At the same time they develop specific skills in the design, implementation, management and evaluation of social education projects, as well as research and writing reports of intervention activities, which is done through the tutorial guidance of the Internship's Orientation and Monitoring Seminar.
