Recommended Prerequisites

Curricular Units of the 1st year of the course, specifically that of Scientific Research Methodologies and Project Seminar.

Teaching Methods

This unit is supervised by the supervisor of each thesis through the course unit Master's Thesis Research Monitoring Seminar. The student may also have a dissertation co-supervisor. Simultaneously it is foreseen the participation in other seminars that contribute to the updating of the topic and/or the methodologies and strategies of quantitative or qualitative research.

Other: 100% The evaluation of the dissertation is provided for in the regulations of the Master in Social Education, Development and Local Dynamics.

Learning Outcomes

 The main outcome of this unit is that the students realize in a dissertation, in an autonomous way, with the tutorial support that they have in the curricular unit of Seminar, in the area of ESDDL. Students will have to develop specific scientific competencies that allow for the optimal execution of the tasks associated with the proposed thesis work. Methodology used can be quantitative, qualitative or mixed.Specifically, they should master methodologies and techniques (quantitative, qualitative or mixed) of data collection and analysis, of scientific writing, of procedures and ethical principles of research in Educational and Social Sciences, of production and publication of scientific articles and other forms of dissemination to the scientific community and society in general. They have to be able to present this dissertation publicly.
