Lecture method associated with the use of pedagogical practices that promote independent work of students and their active participation in the learning process, such as presentation and discussion of texts and students' papers

Learning Outcomes

This course aims to deepen the knowledge and reflection on central issues within the administration and management of educational organizations. It analyzes the new forms and processes of school governance, highlighting the different rationalities and agendas in educational administration and management. Bearing in mind the transnational, national and local dynamics, it intends to reflect on the complexity of the processes of governance, management and school leadership, logics and strategies of action and their actors and instruments.

Learning outcomes:

To critically analyse changes in the process of governance of schools in Portugal

To understand the different rationalities and ideologies of educational administration

Reflect critically on different logics and action strategies and their relationship with organizational contexts, their actors and instruments.

To know research conducted on the processes of school management and leadership in the Portuguese context.
