Teaching Methods

The presentation of theoretical content will be used in association with the active participation of students, by means of discussions, group work, document analysis and production (in different formats: printed, audiovisual, digital, multimodal), and elaboration of intervention proposals. 

Learning Outcomes

This uc aims to promote critical reflection on the digital media ecosystem and the new social practices associated with it. It is intended to deepen the knowledge and understanding of digital and media literacy and its relationship with citizenship, to discuss the educational challenges of the digital age, and to promote the development of intervention skills, aimed at promoting digital and media literacy.

Skills to develop:

- Analyze the current media ecosystem and the new social practices associated with it

- Understand the concept of literacy and its evolution, framing it in the digital age

- Recognize the importance of a critical approach to digital and media literacy

- Analyze the relationship between digital literacy competences and the exercise of citizenship in the digital society

- Reflect on the educational challenges of the digital age

- Elaborate and develop projects and activities to promote digital and media literacy in diverse educational contexts.
