Learning Outcomes
The world of work and employment in general, and vocational training represent areas of activity and professional development for many of the graduates in Science Education. Possible opportunities as Trainer, Training Coordinator, Training Manager and Mediator, advise the students’ careful preparation in these fields of knowledge and the development of skills enabling them to act in this field of practice. Thus, at the end of this curricular unit students should be able to:
1. Understand work and its evolution;
2. Identify the main characteristics of organized labor;
3. Characterize different forms of cultural typology of organizations, the conditions for change and the role of people and training;
4. Describe and understand the transitions to and from work;
5. Know the Portuguese public policies in vocational training;
6. Plan, coordinate and develop training activities.
