Teaching Methods

This curricular unit has a matrix that includes theoretical classes using the expository method and seminars. The theoretical component intends to provide the student with the basic knowledge of the discipline, while the seminars intend to promote the consolidation and application of the knowledge acquired in the theoretical classes, and to encourage interaction so that the student can understand its application in the development/use of medical devices.

Learning Outcomes

Goals

• To know the physical quantities used in the context of medicine

• To identify the different systems of units

• To perform conversions of units of different dimensions

• To explain the structure and functioning of different medical devices

Skills

• To reinforce knowledge about the different physical quantities used in medicine

• To mobilize scientific knowledge in the use of different medical devices

• To interpret data from medical devices
