Teaching Methods
The theoretical components will be illustrated by critical texts and / or extracts of the novels under consideration. Whenever possible, and in an interdisciplinary context, we will have recourse to examples from the dominion of painting or cinema.
Learning Outcomes
- To expand critical capacity.
- To develop research capacity.
- To evaluate the role of literary, patrimonial and historical memory in the texts studied.
- To comment on the language-ideology relations in the (re)construction/(de)construction of literary universes.
- To problematize ideological issues in the construction of colonial and postcolonial discourses.
- To discuss the implications of literary discourse in the sociocultural experiences of the 20th and 21st centuries.
