Recommended Prerequisites

It is recommended that students have completed the curricular units Development of Projects in Psychology and Psychology Laboratory

Teaching Methods

The teaching process is on-the-job learning, and continues the methods started in the course unit Psychology Laboratory, particularly those related to the tutorial and individualized monitoring of research skills, the supervised research practice, and the participation and presentations em research team meetings. 

Learning Outcomes

This course unite aims to develop and strengthen research skills through direct contact and students' immersion in a more structured research environment, iniciated during the course unit of Psychology Laboratory. It is intended that students, integrated in research teams, and through an active involvement, develop skills in the various stages of the research process, from planning to the results dissemination (written and oral), including the collaboration in data collection and analysis. It is also expected that they consolidate their teamwork skills.

Syllabus

Although they may have specificities depending on the laboratory/team in which the students carry out the research internship and the projects in which they participate, it is expected that students apply and deepen the research skills in which they were initiated in the course units Development of Projects in Psychology and Psychology Laboratory. It is also expected that, in an applied way, they will deepen the skills of data processing and results interpretation and discussion, as well as of science communication.
