Teaching Methods

The course will take place using theoretical-practical classes on a seminar basis. The classes will take place departing from the exposure of the syllabus, from the discussion of texts relevant to the objects of study they are dealing with, previously worked by the students, and from the realization and orientation of activities that allow applying knowledge.

Learning Outcomes

Communication research methodologies have the main objective of providing basic theoretical and practical knowledge to allow research in communication sciences. Taking as a starting point the reading of contemporary societies offered by different theoretical proposals, the course aims to allow the acquisition of skills that enable to:

1. Obtain knowledge about the scientific production process in Communication Sciences;
2. Acquire an overview of research methods and techniques;
3. Know and apply different types of data collection and analysis tools;
4. Define appropriate methodological options for investigating the media;
5. Know and apply methods and techniques aimed at the media.
