Teaching Methods
The specific nature of the course implies a crossing of teaching-learning methodologies, favouring an alternation of expository, demonstrative and participatory methods. In the first part of the course, the theoretical framework will be accompanied by an expository and demonstrative method that will be supported by brief approaches (skimming) and a casa study methodology. In a second moment, in which the pratical component of the course will be provided, the methodology to be adopted will be participatory.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand the role of specialized journalism in the context of journalistic production;
- Acknowledge and master the specificities of journalistic production in different areas of news coverage, namely politics, economics, sports, culture and health;
- Reflect critically on the relationship between journalists and specialized information sources;
- Identify the challenges and constraints of specialized journalism;
- Recognize emerging trends in the context of specialized journalism;
- Produce specialized journalistic content.
