Learning Outcomes

- Understand the centrality of language as the main means of communication and representation;

- To know the main currents of thought and the epistemological frameworks of the study of languages and media discourses;

- Apply theories, concepts and methodologies to the critical reading of media objects;

- Identify the specificity of media messages according to language, media support and genre;

- Analyze media messages using qualitative methodologies (semiotics, discourse analysis and narrative analysis);

- Identify hybridization phenomena in media culture narratives;

- Recognize the discursive properties of media narratives.
