Teaching Methods

The principal methodologies used in this curricular unit are: Learning by examples (demonstration of the programmatic contents with the presentation of actual cases); Problem- based learning (encouraging students to practice the application of Lean tools in real situations or scenarios created for this purpose); Learning by debate (after viewing a video or reading text discuss their content).

Learning Outcomes

Lean is about maximising customer value while eliminating waste, saving money and building continuous improvement. The main objective of this course is to give students the main concepts and principles of Lean management so they can know how to:

1 - optimise Operations

2 - reduce process cycle time

3 - improve product and service delivery time

4 - maximise value in any business.
