Recommended Prerequisites

The student should have passed or will be attending the subjects that correspond to key dimensions of analysis in a business plan, including Operations Management, Marketing, Strategy and Financial Analysis.

Teaching Methods

Given the specifics of the way this curricular unit works, it is intended that this subject works in a hybrid regime. Thus, during the semester, there will be expository seminars and moments of face-to-face evaluation, but there will also be tutorial sessions taking place online (during class hours). The option for the online regime, only in work sessions, is related to the fact that it allows teachers to have a closer monitoring and focus on the specifics of each of the projects.

Learning Outcomes

This course unit aims to lead students to understand the characteristics that define an entrepreneur. It also intends to show students how they should discover and develop in themselves the facets that can lead them to do things, to undertake and to go further. At the end of this course, students will know the main steps necessary to go through when creating a company.

It should also be noted that one of the main objectives of this course unit is to provide students with entrepreneurial skills, such as creativity, leadership and teamwork. Through the integration of subjects taught in other subjects and the way in which this course unit works, students will also acquire other important skills of a personal nature.
