Teaching Methods

Lectures: exposition of fundamental contents and illustrative examples. Discussion of topics by students within the scope of the different topics of the program. Presentation of synthesis works by groups of students.

Learning Outcomes

Understand the main economic aspects of the European integration process in the context of the global economy; identify the current challenges and opportunities generated by European integration for people, companies and regions.

Specific objectives

Understand the process of European integration in a dynamic and globalized international context; the microeconomic foundations of the Single Market and its translation into the Union's sectoral and spatial policies; the impact of Economic and Monetary Union on the formulation of macroeconomic policies.

Competencies

To evaluate critically the developments of the European integration process and understand the current challenges faced by the European Union.
