Knowledge at the level of the first cycle related to Construction Physics and Construction Materials.
Teaching Methods
In the teaching of the discipline, the presentation of theoretical concepts and general knowledge related to the themes defined in the program of the discipline is foreseen, further elaborating them for the specific case of wood-based solutions. In teaching, case studies and resolution of application exercises will be carried out. During the course, students have the possibility to attend laboratory tests presented in classes related to the characterization of the acoustic and thermal performance of solutions. The student's evaluation will be based on a written exam.
Learning Outcomes
The main objective of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to become familiar with wood-based construction solutions for buildings and to understand their potential at the thermal and acoustic level. It is intended that students develop skills in terms of performance evaluation and of the calculation and design of solutions.
