Teaching Methods
In teaching the course, it is anticipated the presentation of theoretical concepts and advanced knowledge on the topics defined in the syllabus. This will be followed by exemplification . This will be complemented by case studies about the various issues. The evaluation will be performed through written test and practical problem solving.
Learning Outcomes
- Obtaining knowledge related to the wood material and its specificities in comparison with other construction materials, such as for example reinforced concrete or steel
- Obtaining knowledge related to the types and characteristics of the wood based construction products
- Obtaining basic knowledge related to the bases of analysis and safety verification for simple timber structures.
