Ultrasonic wave propagation. Bulk waves in fluids. Theory of elasticity. Bulk acoustic waves in solids. Finite beams, radiation, diffraction and scattering. Reflection and transmission of ultrasonic waves at interfaces. Rayleigh waves. Lamb waves. Non-conventional ultrasonic techniques for materials characterization. Generation and reception circuits. Ultrasonic non-destructive testing in industrial processes.
