Course participants should be able to understand and apply:a) Measures used in pharmacoepidemiology(frequency,association, accuracy and effect). b) Hypothesis generating studies and confirmative studies. c)Strength ofassociation from analitycal studies and scientific evidence. d)Tools for methodologic quality assessment.e) Levels ofrecomendation according to the scientific evidence. Interprtation and f) apllication of studies results.

Syllabus

Relative risk, absolute risk, odds ratio and risk ratios. Sepcificity and sensibility, positive postive and negative values.Experimental studies: tipology and design. Observacional studies with and without time sequency. Coorte, case-control, case-coorte and nested sutdies. Survival analysis.
