Teaching Methods

Theoretical-practical lessons with detailed exposition of the concepts, basic principles and theories and also with the presentation of pratical case studies. The students, with the supervision and guidance of the professor, solve practical cases based in real situations related with transport infrastructures.

Learning Outcomes

The overall objective is to provide students with sound knowledge of the fundamentals of the maintenance and rehabilitation of transport infrastructures, particularly with regard to road infastructures, airport infrastructures and urban railway infrastructures. At the end of the course students should be able to understand a reinforcement project of a degradated road pavement, understand a rehabilitation project of an airport pavement, understand a rehabilitation project of an urban railway, to be able to participate in multidisciplinary teams to define solutions in terms of transport infrastructures.
