Teaching Methods

In teaching the course, it is expected the presentation of theoretical concepts and generic knowledge related to the themes defined in the course syllabus, study of practical cases and resolution of application exercises. During the course, students will have the opportunity to get in touch with practical examples of the application of the transmitted concepts. The assessment includes the theoretical content and the theoretical-practical component. The evaluation is carried out through a theoretical-practical exam.

Learning Outcomes

The main objective of the curricular unit is to provide students with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with basic knowledge in the area of environmental comfort in buildings and energy efficiency, focusing on the areas of hygrothermal and acoustic behavior of buildings, as well as air quality in the your inside. It is also intended that students know the general principles of European directives and national regulations in these areas. They should also have an informed view on rational energy use, integrated energy production and energy supply market.

Finally, it is intended that students develop skills in synthesis and analysis, oral and written communication, problem solving, critical reflection, autonomous learning and practical application of theoretical knowledge.
