Teaching Methods
In teaching the course, it is expected the presentation of theoretical concepts and generic knowledge related to the themes defined in the course syllabus, study of practical cases and resolution of application exercises. During the course, students will have the opportunity to get in touch with practical examples of the application of the transmitted concepts. The assessment includes the theoretical content and the theoretical-practical component. The evaluation is carried out through a theoretical-practical exam (20 values).
Learning Outcomes
With this curricular unit, it is intended that the student acquires knowledge about buildings in their different aspects, both structural and non-structural. The student should understand the main components of a building, how they interconnect and interact. The student should acquire skills that allow him to dialogue with technicians (architects and engineers) in the construction area, being able to understand the behaviour of different solutions and have a critical opinion about the proposals that are presented to him.
