Teaching Methods

Theoretical - Audiovisual media will be used including the use of PowerPoint, viewing of short videos and other media content.

Practical - Interactive teaching through the discussion of case studies and application of learned subjects to practical ends, such as an elevator pitch.

Tutorial support- Individualized learning: support during the development of the group project/business plan.

Seminars -  Invited lectures by external entrepreneurs.     

Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

-Identify clear commercial goals and drivers for business success;

-Select the contribution of the business partner, whether in design, research, development, in the context of securing the firms commercial goals;

-Extract relevant data and apply analysis techniques in the solution of unacquainted problems;

-Develop a Business Plan;

-Identify issues associated with entrepreneurship, sustainability and the environment;

-Develop team working skills;

-Communicate to technical and non-technical audiences;

-Describe the financial management procedures, marketing, ethics and risk assessment.

-Legal aspects related with Business Creation;

-Green entrepreneurship;

-Business Model Definition;

-Segmentation and definition of the target market;

-Presentation and defense of the Business Plan.
