(1) Teaching methods: lectures combining theoretical explanations with conceptual and real-case discussions.
(2) Evaluation methods: home assignments (50%) and written final exam (50%).

(1) Fundamental knowledge about transportation planning concepts, methodologies, and techniques, as well as a good understanding of transportation planning processes.

(2) Transportation planning process.
(3) Sustainable transportation policies. Principles for the organization of transportation systems.
(4) Classic (Four-Step) Transportation Model (“Trip Generation”, “Trip Distribution”, “Modal Split” and “Traffic Assignment” modules).
(5) Micro-simulation Transportation Models. Basic notions.
(6) Transportation project appraisal.
(7) Transportation network optimization.
